ΠΕΡΙΛΗΨΗ
Το γναθιαίο ή ιγμόρειο άντρο είναι ο μεγαλύτερος των παραρρινίων κόλπων και συμμετέχει στο σχηματισμό
ή έρχεται σε στενή επαφή με βασικά οστέϊνα τμήματα του προσωπικού κρανίου. Τα λεπτά τοιχώματα
του ιγμορείου θραύονται εύκολα, είτε μετά από τοπική άσκηση άμεσης βίας, είτε ως αποτέλεσμα καταγμάτων
της φατνιακής απόφυσης της άνω γνάθου, καταγμάτων τύπου Le Fort I, II και III, συντριπτικών καταγμάτων
του ρινοηθμοειδικού συμπλέγματος, καταγμάτων του εδάφους του κόγχου «blow-out», καθώς επίσης
και καταγμάτων του ζυγωματικού οστού. Στην εργασία αυτή παρουσιάζουμε τα είδη των καταγμάτων
του άντρου και τον τρόπο αντιμετώπισης τους και συζητούμε τις επιπλοκές, που ενδέχεται να προκύψουν.
