ΠΕΡΙΛΗΨΗ
Η συνοβιακή χονδρομάτωση (χονδρομάτωση του αρθρικού υμένα) της κροταψογναθικής άρθρωσης
(ΚΓΔ) αποτελεί μία ασυνήθιστη κατάσταση, στην οποία εστίες χόνδρου αναπτύσσονται στον αρθρικό υμένα
της άρθρωσης. Η συμπτωματολογία είναι ήπια και η κατάσταση αυτή μπορεί να δίνει εικόνα νεοπλασίας της
παρωτίδας ή εσωτερικής αποδιοργάνωσης της άρθρωσης. Οι απλές ακτινογραφίες και η αξονική τομογραφία
δεν είναι πάντοτε παθογνωμονικές, ενώ η διάγνωση ενίοτε εδραιώνεται μετά και από μαγνητική τομογραφία.
Η χειρουργική θεραπεία είτε πρόκειται για χειρουργική επέμβαση είτε για ενδοσκόπηση είναι αποτελεσματική
και οι υποτροπές είναι εξαιρετικά σπάνιες. Αναφέρεται η περίπτωση γυναίκας ασθενούς 46 ετών
με συνοβιακή χονδρομάτωση της δεξιάς ΚΓΔ, που εμφάνιζε εικόνα παρωτιδικού όγκου και αναλύονται οι
διαγνωστικές και θεραπευτικές διαδικασίες.

Η συνοβιακή χονδρομάτωση (χονδρομάτωση του αρθρικού υμένα) της κροταψογναθικής άρθρωσης
(ΚΓΔ) αποτελεί μία ασυνήθιστη κατάσταση, στην οποία εστίες χόνδρου αναπτύσσονται στον αρθρικό υμένα
της άρθρωσης. Η συμπτωματολογία είναι ήπια και η κατάσταση αυτή μπορεί να δίνει εικόνα νεοπλασίας της
παρωτίδας ή εσωτερικής αποδιοργάνωσης της άρθρωσης. Οι απλές ακτινογραφίες και η αξονική τομογραφία
δεν είναι πάντοτε παθογνωμονικές, ενώ η διάγνωση ενίοτε εδραιώνεται μετά και από μαγνητική τομογραφία.
